Itinerary

Day 1 Settle into Khao Lak’s coastal rhythm | Gather for a welcome dinner by the Andaman Sea

Our journey begins in Khao Lak, where forested hills meet the Andaman Sea. Your complimentary arrival transfer brings you to Eden Beach Khao Lak Resort & Spa, our coastal hideaway for the next two nights. Settle into your surroundings, perhaps taking a stroll along the beach or unwinding beside the pool. As evening falls, join your Signature Guide and fellow travellers for a welcome reception and dinner at the resort. Over cocktails and Southern Thai cuisine, raise a glass to the journey ahead.

Day 2 Cruise Phang Nga Bay | Share island traditions with the Koh Panyee community

After breakfast, transfer to Phang Nga Bay pier, where we board a private long-tail boat to navigate limestone formations, sea caves and mangrove channels. Cruise past James Bond Island, made famous by The Man with the Golden Gun, then paddle by canoe into Koh Hong’s sheltered lagoon before enjoying a private Thai picnic on a secluded beach. Signature Experience: Continue to Koh Panyee, where the village chief welcomes us into this remarkable community built above the water. Walk the stilted pathways, hear the story behind its floating football pitch and learn about local marine conservation, with an opportunity to taste seaweed and release young crabs into the bay (tides permitting). Enjoy a leisurely cruise back through the bay before returning to Khao Lak for a Southern Thai seafood dinner.

Day 3 Connect with coastal communities | Cook over bamboo fires and enter the rainforest after dark

Travel to Baan Tha Din Daeng, where local hosts share stories of the community’s tin-mining heritage and the mangrove forests that sustain local livelihoods. Paddle by kayak through quiet waterways, keeping watch for wild monkeys and native birdlife, before helping to restore the coastline by planting mangrove saplings. Try your hand at traditional tin panning, a practice rooted in the village’s past, then enjoy a farm-to-table lunch prepared with locally grown produce. Continue to Khao Sok, home to one of the world’s oldest evergreen rainforests, where immense limestone cliffs rise above a dense canopy of tropical greenery. Settle into Lost Horizon Resort, our peaceful retreat surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest. Signature Experience: Join a local village cook to prepare a traditional dinner, packing fresh ingredients into bamboo tubes to roast over an open fire. As darkness falls, follow a local conservation expert into Khlong Phanom National Park, searching for nocturnal wildlife and learning about the forest’s plants and their traditional uses.

Day 4 Cruise across Cheow Lan Lake | Walk ancient rainforest trails with an expert guide

Cruise by private luxury long-tail boat across Cheow Lan Lake, where limestone cliffs rise dramatically from still waters and rainforest stretches towards the horizon. Arrive at the floating Panvaree Resort, set within a sheltered cove, with time to swim, kayak through quiet inlets or simply relax by the water before enjoying a lunch of Southern Thai specialities. This afternoon, follow your expert guide into Khao Sok’s ancient rainforest, tracing trails once used by communities before the valley was flooded. Listen for the calls of gibbons, watch for langurs moving through the canopy and learn about the remarkable biodiversity of this ancient ecosystem. Later, cruise back across the lake before returning to our resort, with the evening free to dine at leisure.

Day 5 Receive a Buddhist blessing | Walk alongside rescued elephants

Our day begins at Wat Tham Wararam, where we take part in a traditional Buddhist ceremony, presenting offerings to the resident monks before receiving a personal blessing. Continue towards Krabi, where limestone cliffs rise above the Andaman Sea, pausing en route for lunch featuring traditional Thai dishes. Signature Experience: Meet the head mahout at an elephant sanctuary and hear the individual stories of its rescued residents. Walk through the forest, observing the elephants moving freely through the trees, before creating nutrient-rich seed balls to help regenerate the forest and provide future food for the herd. Later, settle into our peaceful coastal retreat for the final three nights. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 6 Signature Day | Embrace village traditions, marine conservation or Thai cuisine

Today is your Signature Day, where you can choose a carefully curated experience to connect more deeply with Southern Thailand’s culture, communities and natural heritage. You could: Embrace village traditions: Meet Baan Na Teen artisans, roast coffee, tap rubber trees and prepare traditional coconut sweets before a private Muay Thai training session (9am - 6pm) Help restore coral reefs: Join marine conservation specialists to learn coral propagation techniques and contribute to the restoration of Krabi’s marine ecosystems (9am - 4pm) Cook Thai cuisine: Visit a morning market to learn about local ingredients before enjoying a traditional dim sum breakfast. Continue to an organic homestead for a hands-on cooking class, preparing four Thai dishes and a dessert (7am - 2pm) Champion community conservation: Meet stingless-bee keepers, sample raw honey and help release bees into the forest. Choose to make a natural soap, fruit mocktail or traditional dessert before a farm-to-table lunch and an expert-led visit to Krabi’s ancient fossil beds (9am - 4pm) Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 7 Meet Koh Klang’s island artisans | Celebrate Southern Thai hospitality with a farewell dinner overlooking the Andaman Sea

Board a traditional long-tail boat and cruise past Khao Khanap Nam’s towering limestone cliffs, one of Krabi’s most recognisable landmarks. Navigate mangrove-lined waterways and venture into limestone caves before continuing to Koh Klang, an island community where fishing and traditional crafts remain central to daily life. Signature Experience: Join a local host to discover the island’s heritage, meeting artisans who preserve generations-old skills in batik painting, coconut-shell crafting and miniature long-tail boat making. Enjoy lunch with Ma Ying at her waterfront restaurant, overlooking the mangroves. This evening, gather at The Hilltop Aonang for a farewell dinner with views across the Andaman Sea, raising a glass to the people, places and experiences that have shaped our journey.

Day 8 Say a fond farewell to Southern Thailand

Enjoy a final breakfast beside the Andaman Sea, with time to linger over the coastal views before your complimentary transfer to Krabi Airport. This chapter may be drawing to a close, but the stories and connections made along the way will remain long after you leave. What will you remember most? Conversations shared with island communities, the quiet of Khao Sok’s rainforest, or the people working to protect Thailand’s natural heritage?
