Around 6pm, say hello to your tour leader and fellow travellers in the hotel reception, where we gather as a group for the first time to get to know each other and learn more about the adventures ahead.

Day 3 Hike the North Cornwall Coast • Wildlife talk from a local conservation expert
Today we track the coastline of North Cornwall, first heading to Stepper Point – a prominent headland jutting into the Atlantic.
Here, we meet a member of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust for a fascinating insight into how they are working to protect the local wildlife and wild places.
After, we continue our coastal walk – keep an eye out for peregrine falcons, the fastest birds in the world, which are known to nest in this area.
Depending on our progress, we may finish with lunch in Trevone, Harlyn Bay or even Constantine Bay, before taking a bus transfer back across the headland to Padstow, where we have some free time to enjoy the small harbour town. After we will transfer back to Wadebridge.

On the way, we veer from the path to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan (revived in 1991 after 70 years of neglect and restored to former glory - see 'Money' section for entrance fee) and then into Mevagissey for a lunch of seafood caught that morning.

Arriving in Fowey, we stop for lunch and in the afternoon there is the opportunity to cross the harbour by ferry into Polruan and walk the other side of the estuary.
